Trade-in Service (3 Options)

What is a "Trade-In" ?

A trade-in is the process of trading your video games, gaming accessories, or hardware for store credit. eStarland offers two trade-In options.

Instant Trade-In

Add your trade-ins and use your trade-in credit instantly, even before sending your trade-in to us.

  • Step 1) Add the item(s) you wish to trade to your cart.

  • Step 2) Add the item(s) you wish to purchase to your cart.

  • Step 3) Place your order using a valid credit card* and we will ship your purchase right away.

  • Step 4) Pack and ship your order and enjoy your purchases!

*While eStarland processes and ships your order immediately, your credit card will be pre-authorized for the trade-in credit amount until we receive your trade-in items to finalize your order. Instant Trade-in orders must be postmarked within 14 days of the order placement date.

Send your trade-in first to receive credit for the shipping cost*.

  • Step 1) Locate the item(s) you wish to trade in and complete the checkout process.

  • Step 2) Pack and ship your items to eStarland.

  • Step 3) We process your trade and issue credit to your eStarland account.

*Based on USPS First Class / Media Mail / Parcel / Priority Mail Rate plus $1.00-$2.00 for your packaging expense (Maximum amount of reimbursement cannot exceed 10% of the total trade-in value). To be eligible for shipping reimbursement, your trade-in must be completed first.

Trade-In Q&A

How do I find the product(s) I wish to trade in?

To find an item you are looking to trade in, navigate to the top of any eStarland webpage and click on the "Search" tab. From there, simply input the title or UPC number (located beneath the barcode) of the item(s) you wish to trade in.

What if I cannot find items I want to trade in?

If you are unable to find the product you wish to trade, you can request that we add the product by contacting us directly. Please send an email to webmaster@estarland.com for a custom appraisal.

I found an item, but I cannot find a trade-in option.

If the trade-in option is unavailable, it means we are not currently accepting trade-ins for that item. This is usually temporary due to high inventory levels. Please check back later, as we will begin accepting trade-ins again once our stock returns to normal.

Can I send in multiple copies of the same game?

We can only accept up to 2 copies of the same game per customer for trade-ins. If you would like to trade in more than 2 of the same game, please contact us before placing a trade-in order.

How soon do I need to send my stuff in?

Trade-ins must be postmarked by the due date specified on your order. You have 2 weeks to ship instant trade-in orders, and 1 week to ship standard trade-in orders starting from the day you placed the order.

Orders that have not been received by 7 business days after the due date may be subject to automatic cancellation.

Can I bring my trade-in to the store?

Yes! eStarland offers two options for walk-in trade-in orders. You can either place a trade-in order online (be sure to select Customer Pickup at checkout) or simply walk in.

I have many items to trade in. Can you offer me one price for all of them?

Yes. You can contact us with a list of items and several group pictures to receive an appraisal.

How many items can I trade in at once?

We accept trade-in orders with unlimited items, but the shopping cart holds only 40 items at a time. For more than 40 items, please place separate orders.

Do I receive an additional amount if I send in unopened/new items?

We offer additional credit for most new items that meet our criteria. The amount of additional credit may vary based on several factors.

Attention International Customers in Canada and Mexico:

We currently accept NTSC games from Canada and Mexico for trade-in. When shipping international trade-ins, we ask that you use your local postal service to mail your trade-ins. If you use UPS, FEDEX, or any other private carrier, there will be additional charges for shipping internationally. Any additional brokerage free or duties that we may incur from UPS, FEDEX or any other private carrier will be subtracted from the credit you receive. There are no additional international fees when using local postal services.

*As an eStarland account holder, your outstanding credit balance can be converted to cash at a 70% rate. For example, if your account balance is $100.00, the cash value of your credit is $70.00. The minimum amount for which you can request payment is $20.00 ($28.57 in credit). A check mailed via USPS First Class Mail is the default for online cashouts with additional options..

Requirements

To ensure a smooth and efficient trade-in process with eStarland, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Game Trade-Ins:
When trading in a game, please include all original packaging, manuals, and maps as indicated during the trade-in process. All included materials must be in good condition. Provide an accurate description of the disc or cartridge condition to avoid discrepancies.

Game System Trade-Ins:
For game systems, include all manuals, accessories, and pack-in games. Refer to the Preowned Merchandise section on our website for complete system trade-in guidelines.

Unacceptable Trade-In Conditions:

To ensure a smooth trade-in process, please verify that your items meet the following standards. Items not meeting these requirements may be partially or fully rejected. We recommend thoroughly inspecting your items before submission.

All items submitted to eStarland must be in excellent working condition and good cosmetic appearance. eStarland reserves the right to evaluate and determine the acceptability of all trade-in items.

The following items will not be accepted:

•Discs with significant scratches

•Items with labels, stickers, or writing that cannot be removed

•Games with damaged or missing labels

•Items that are dirty, stained, scratched, cracked, etched, or chipped

•Manuals or books with missing pages or damaged bindings

•Items with water or smoke damage

•Bootleg or counterfeit games

•Trade-in orders containing more than 50% loose game CDs

•Items with hygiene issues

If your trade-in does not meet these quality standards, the trade-in value may be adjusted or voided.

Unaccepted Trade-Ins

Trade-ins will be rejected if they are damaged, missing accessories, or if the wrong item is sent. Upon request, unaccepted trade-ins can be returned to you at your expense within two weeks of receipt by eStarland.

Trade-ins valued under $5.00, damaged items deemed worthless, bootleg copies, or non-repairable/unsalvageable items will be discarded unless otherwise specified. To request alternative handling for rejected trade-ins, please contact us before sending your items.

Return Shipping Charges for Unaccepted Trade-Ins

The following are estimated return shipping charges for unaccepted trade-ins:

First game or small item: $4.00 - $6.00
Each additional game: $1.00
Handheld System: $6.00 - $10.00
System or heavy item: $10.00 - $18.00

These rates serve as a guideline. If the trade-in does not meet the above criteria or exceeds the listed charges, the actual shipping cost will be applied. Customers will be responsible for covering the full return shipping cost.

Adjustments

What happens if I don't specify the correct condition of the items that I'm sending in?

At eStarland, we prioritize the integrity of our trade-in and used merchandise program. All items must be in the condition you report when placing your order and must be postmarked by the specified due date. If a trade-in item does not match the condition you described, we will either reassess the item’s value or reject the item.

What happens if I don't send the Trade-ins on time?

Trade-in orders must be postmarked within 14 days of the order date (or 7 days for trade-in-only orders). eStarland may reassess the trade-in order based on current market value.

What happens if I've already used the Instant Credit I received for an item that had to be reassessed?

If an item’s value is reassessed, your trade-in credit will be adjusted to reflect the updated value. If the reassessed value is lower than the original amount and you’ve already used the Instant Credit, the credit card used to certify your trade-in will be charged for the difference. If the reassessed value is higher than the original amount, your account will receive the additional credit.

EZ Ship Service

eStarland's EZ Ship Service provides a complimentary, insured, and traceable UPS shipping label for eligible trade-in orders. Simply package your trade-in items and deliver them to a UPS Authorized Shipping Location or hand them to a UPS driver.

Restrictions

Our trade-in service is intended for individual customer use only. Any trade-in order placed with the intent to profit, including but not limited to price reductions and close-outs, violates our policy. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel or modify orders. Repeated misuse of the trade-in system will result in restrictions being placed on your account.
