Released in Japan only on October 6, 2020, 30 years after the original Game Gear, and celebrating 60 years of the company itself, Sega brought back the portable system in an even smaller form, measuring 3.15 inches wide to the original's 8.2; less than 40% the original, and Sega's tiniest console ever released! The system runs on 2 AAA alkaline batteries, or Micro USB charge, and outputs sound through the mono speaker or the standard headphone jack. The Micro had four versions, each in a different color (black, blue, red, yellow), and contains their own set of four, pre-loaded Game Gear games. The yellow version contains Shining Force Gaiden: Ensei – Jashin no Kuni he, Shining Force Gaiden II: Jashin no Mezame (also known as Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya), Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict, and Nazo Puyo: Aruru no Ru.
