This is a replacement part for an original Playstation 5 controller analog stick using new Hall Effect technology. If you have a Playstation 5 controller that has a broken or faulty analog joystick, this part is for you.

What is Hall Effect?

The Hall effect is a phenomenon in physics where a voltage difference is created across an electrical conductor when a magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the current flow. This voltage difference is proportional to the strength of the magnetic field.

In analog sticks, the Hall effect is used to sense the position of the joystick without relying on physical contact or potentiometers, which can wear down over time. This results in more durable and precise analog sticks that are less prone to drift.

How it works
