Bonk's Aventure: Hudson Selection Vol 3 (Gamecube - Japanese Version)

Hudson's old poster child is back for some more head bashing action. In line with the other "Hudson Select" titles, this game is a port of the original Bonk's Adventure for the Turbo Grafx (aka PC Genjin for the PC Engine). The game has obviously received a glossy new coat of paint in the form of sharp cel-shaded graphics, but the gameplay has thankfully remained intact in all its 2-d glory. In fact, gamers who played the original may notice a few gameplay tweaks in the new release that make the action run smoother. If you love platformers, then this game is for you. Nostalgia aside, the gameplay is still fast and fun--no rose tinted glasses required.

• Classic 2-d gameplay with a few new teaks:
  • Bonk Walks, Falls and Recovers from attacks faster
  • Meat Powerups now last until you are hit (instead of having a time limmit)
  • Bonk can now Swim! (instead of just jumping through water)
  • Bosses have new attacks!
  • Stage layouts have been refined (Original stage layouts are unlockable)
