Set in a modern day Japan where spirits and demons coexist alongside humans, Petopeto-san is the story of average Japanese boy (how many animes start this way?) Oohashi Shingo who befriends a "sticky" ('petopeto') demon named Fujimura Hatoko (knicknamed 'Petoko' by her classmates). Included in the series are two versions each of : Fujimura Hatoko ("Petoko"), Makabe Nurie, Sahara Kuguru, Sahara Chochomaru, plus a secret figure.
