Sega 32X Add-On System

The Sega 32X is a unique curiosity in the history of gaming. Developed by Sega of America, the system was primarily targeted at the North American Market. The system works as an add-on to the Sega Genesis (and Sega CD) that greatly enhanced the machines' processing powers to play 32X games. The 32X was Sega's first forray into the world of 32-bit console gaming. Although it was later overshadowed by the Sega Saturn, for a while, there was a steady stream of good games for the 32X including versions of Doom, Virtua Fighter and the little known Sonic game, Knuckles Chaotix. Nowadays the system is a rare find and well worth every penny for the opportunity to play the unique games released for the system.
