Last year, Nintendo celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Famicom console by making a red, white and gold color version of the GBA. The catch is only 1000 of these were made and the only way you could have obtained one was by entering a Japanese exclusive contest. Nintendo heard the outcry from those who were disappointed by the limited release and has released a special Famicom GBA SP, which doesn't require any contests to obtain. Based on the later Famicom Console, the new Famicom Game Boy Advance SP sports a red and white design.
