Nintendo Wii USB 2.0 Lan Adapter by Nintendo

If you want to use the online features of your Wii console and you don't have a wireless router, you can use the Wii LAN Adapter.

The Wii LAN Adapter is required to connect the Wii console to a wired router. Non-Nintendo LAN Adapters are not compatible with the Wii console. You can still connect with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, or by purchasing a wireless router.

In order to connect the Wii console online with a wired connection, you will need the following:

• A Wii LAN Adapter
• An active broadband internet connection, such as DSL or Cable.
• A compatible Internet Service Provider (ISP).
• Some ISPs require a sign-in every time you connect online, or are otherwise incompatible. Contact your ISP for more information.
• Either a broadband modem or wired router with an available ethernet port.
• An ethernet cable.
