Final Fantasy II (Super Nintendo) Even though it carries the name Final Fantasy II in the US, it is actually the fourth game in the series to be released in Japan. The second installment in this immensely popular RPG series comes to the SNES in the form of FINAL FANTASY II. Throughout the Kingdom of Baron, airships patrol the skies protecting the land. The leader of the airship squadron is a young upstart named Cecil, Captain of the Red Wings. At the outset of the game, Cecil and his crew are commanded to steal a powerful crystal from a neighboring kingdom. After bringing his King the crystal, Cecil questions his orders and is subsequently stripped of his title. In order to get back into the King's good graces, he must hunt and kill a vicious monster and deliver a package to another town. After the package explodes and kills everyone, Cecil and his buddy Kain decide it's time to destroy the King's dark forces.
